Comments: As with so many others I purchased a vehicle sight unseen @ top blue book price. Spoke several times with Mr. Zimm - he repeatedly assured me I was purchasing "a really fine car". Not long after I picked it up it took me $2500 to fix oil/water leaks which weren't evident when I picked it up. The transmission surges (he claimed that was due to the high performance nature of the car) and the rear wheel bearings roar (he claimed the noise was due to the high performance tires). DON'T even think about purchasing from this crook!

Zimm ripped my wife and I off also, we purchased a minivan from him. I turned out the vehicle had been wrecked in the frontend that effected the A/C, suspension and the wiring.

How I wish I knew about these complaints before I bought the vehicle from ZIMM MOTORS/FINEAUTOS. I never met Mr ZIMM, he didn't even have the courtesy to deliver the car in person because of problems with the wife, sounds familiar right. I took delivery of the vehicle a 1999 cadillac El Dorado and drove the vehicle about 125 miles when the check engine light came on. I was over a 1000 miles away from home. I called both of Zimms phone numbers and never got an answer back.

Well, I think I am holding off on buying a car from Ebay. I normally go through Autobytel.Com or carsdirect.com as I can find a dealer that will give me a straight out answer and are local. I have been looking for a Lincoln Mark VIII LSC (Preferably Collector's edition).

Thanks for the heads up. I'm not suprised to find a disreputable seller on ebay but I am very disappointed by ebay's failure to act against this and so many other sellers who are basically here engaged in a fraud scheme. Their failure to take action against such seller is unconsionable.

Bought BMW and went out to look at it first. He said it had a c.d. player and it didn't. He said it had new tires and it didn't. I had him take the items off another car before I would drive it home. On the way home I noticed the $725 radio did not illuminate in the dark. The convertible top shed badly. I took the plastic off the floor and it was missing floor-mats.

I am another in the long line of fools that has been ripped off by Zimm Motors. When I won the car I spoke with Mr. Zimm several times over the phone and he assured me the car was "excellent". Nothing wrong at all. I flew to Miami and picked up the car and it looked very good. On the drive home, the power steering fluid leaked out before I got to Atlanta.

I drove the car home from the DAS terminal in the rain and noticed a pretty bad shimmy at both 35-40 and 70 MPH and a brake light was out. So the next day I took the car to my mechanic and they got the light working again, but I explained that the socket was burned up. I also went to a local America’s Tire store to have the wheels balanced.

We have basically the same story without the shipping issues. Attorneys I talked with told me I was out of luck due to the "as is" clause. I have emails where he agreed to fix some of the problems but never did.
I cannot even get him to contact the extended warranty company to cancel my policy. They tell me that they cannot cancel and refund without the selling dealer faxing a termination request....

We received a car today purchased from (Zimm Motors) out of Florida (07/08/03), almost one month after the winning bid for the car. Although he claims, no responsibility for the horrible service of DAS movers I can say this isn't the big issue here and wanted to mention it. DAS FAILED miserably in delivering our car when it was supposed to be delivered.
