Zakk was discovered playing by rock photographers Mark Weiss and Dave Feld. Ozzy was looking for a new guitarist and Dave Feld scheduled the audition for Zakk to meet with Ozzy. Sharon Osbourne made the call and asked Zakk if he would join the band. At only 20 Zakk had joined up with Ozzy. Years later, In 2002 Black Label Society toured mainstage on all of Ozzfest 2002, with Robert Trujillo, also Ozzy's bassist, playing bass for them. The tour was highly successful. Black Label Society got more publicity on this tour. Then in August 12, 2003 Black Label Society's first DVD was released entitled "Boozed, Broozed & Broken-Boned" that #1 on the charts. Black Label Society was released on April 20th 2004 entitled, "Hangover Music Vol. VI" surprisingly it is was not a heavy metal album like previous releases. |
