Performing at the House of Blues on Thursday April 28, 2005 at 8:00PM. Doors open at 7:00PM. Steve Vai formed his first conventional rock band along with newcomer Devin Townsend on vocals, Stevens on bass, and Terry Bozzio on drums with "Sex & Religion" 1993 but album was a disappointment. Vai returned back to all-instrumental work with the 1995 "Alien Love Secrets". He has continued to issue solo releases. Vai and Along with his one-time teacher Joe Satriani reunited for an annual co-headlining tour called G3, which followed with a live album "G3: Live in Concert" in 1997. In 2002, he collected several pieces that he had contributed to films through the years, including the guitar duel from Crossroads and the theme to Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey and put them together in a 40 track collection called The Elusive Light and Sound Vol. 1.
The LA Times said, "Sardinas finger-picks his guitar into a frenzy in a dazzling display, he in nothing short of a wild man." Eric Sardinas released his latest album, "Black Pearls", which was produced by Eddie Kramer and recorded at the Mothership in Los Angeles. It is his first release for the Favored Nations label. He will be joining Steve Vai on the Spring of 2005 Concert Tour as a special guest.
