The troupe of performers in Aga Boom are from previous cast of the world famous Cirque du Soleil's "O" , "Alegra", The Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus and The Great Moscow Circus. The creator and director of AGA-BOOM is Dimitri Bogatirev, a former Cirque du Soleil clown. Aga-Boom is a theatrical event that brings together the best of circus arts and physical comedy. The title "Aga-Boom" is a Russian word for paper, "boomaga". The show begins and ends with scenes about paper, which ultimately escalates into an enormous paper fight. And what a fight! There is a lot of audience participation, but the performers use exclusively adult volunteers.
Rooted in a unique style of theatrical clowning, Aga-boom combines the unbridled silliness of slapstick, physical comedy, goofy mime, theatrical expressionism, poetry, and European avant-garde. It will bring you back to the excitement, pure delighted amazement, wonder of childhood.
