Stephen Schwartz, the Grammy and Academy Award-winning composer of Wicked and Pippin, returns to Broadway with an exhilarating, brand new production of Godspell. Based on the "Gospel According to Matthew," this musical features a score by Schwartz and a manuscript by John-Michael Tebelak.
Godspell uses improvisation and contemporary themes to illustrate a series of parables based on the gospel, and brings these lessons to life through the tradition of musical theater. Songs include "Day By Day," "Save The People," "Learn Your Lessons Well," "All Good Gifts," "Turn Back, O Man," and "By My Side."
